Every district and borough in Hertfordshire has a Community Safety and Engagement Board (CSEB) led by its Neighbourhood Policing Team.
The boards provide a structured, local forum for our Community Advisors to raise issues and share experiences with us. They bring together local police, the public and where relevant partnership agencies to:
CSEBs are open to all communities and support other community engagement activities conducted by our Neighbourhood Policing Teams.
CSEBs do not replace normal channels for reporting crime such as 101, 999 or our website.
Our Community Advisors are invaluable to policing in Hertfordshire. They are trusted contacts who link us directly with our communities, helping us to understand their concerns, respond effectively and deliver a better service for everyone.
They can be from any community in Hertfordshire. They are usually a contact who has been established through the local Neighbourhood Policing Team’s engagement activity.
They provide police with insights into the policing and crime issues affecting their community, and in turn can share important policing messages from police to their community.
It is not compulsory for Community Advisors to attend CSEBs.
If you would like to become a Community Advisor to help police better work with your community, please contact your local Neighbourhood Policing Team via the Your Area section of the website.
