Herts Beat is Hertfordshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Police Authority's joint annual newspaper that we deliver to every household in the county during July and August.
You can read the latest edition online by clicking the images below.
We hope you find Herts Beat an interesting read and that it provides you with an insight into community and neighbourhood policing and the Constabulary's performance.
Below is the Annual Report (covering the Constabulary's overall performance during the year April 2007 to March 2008) and three different editions of the newspaper - one for each Area of the county: Eastern Area covers Stevenage, Broxbourne, East Herts and North Herts; Western Area covers Three Rivers, Dacorum and Watford; Central Area covers Hertsmere, St Albans and Welwyn Hatfield.
Each newspaper includes articles about the Constabulary and the Police Authority from 2008. It doesn't cover everything we've been doing but gives a flavour of some of the positive aspects of the service we provide in Hertfordshire - you can read about crime and the tougher sides of policing on other pages of our website (try 'latest news') or read your local press.
Eastern area edition (913kb), which covers East Herts, North Herts, Stevenage and Broxbourne Borough
Western area edition (1260kb), which covers Watford, Three Rivers and Dacorum. Please note: the cycle theft figure on the front page of this edition is incorrect and should be disregarded.
Central area edition (1209kb), which covers St Albans City and District, Welwyn Hatfield District and Hertsmere
Annual Report (361kb), which covers the whole of Hertfordshire and shows the Constabulary's performance against targets set for April 2007 and March 2008.
