WARM WEATHER WARNING FOR SHOP OWNERS AND BUSINESSES
POLICE are warning shopowners and businesses not to
leave rear doors and windows insecure in hot weather.
PC Linda Stevens of the Crime Prevention
Team said: “Shops and businesses should bear in
mind the possible security implications if doors and
windows are left open during the hours of business.
“It is also easy for employees
to head home at the end of a day, thinking that colleagues
or security staff will lock up for them. I would ask
all owners and managers to think about the security
measures they have in place, ensure alarms are set and
that all doors and windows are secure.”
