Police Community Volunteers

Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Police
Community Volunteers Scheme offers members of the public the chance
to support the Constabulary and make a valuable contribution to the
safety and security of their own community.
Volunteers help the Constabulary to enhance the service it is able
to provide to the community by helping to support police officers
and staff in a variety of interesting and valuable roles.
Volunteer opportunities are available at Police Headquarters in
Welwyn Garden City and at most police stations across the county.
We will match your skills and location to a role which is suitable
for you, give you the training you need and work with you to ensure
that you get the best out of your
volunteering.
You need to be over the age of 18 to volunteer with us, have time
to give and the enthusiasm to make a difference. There is an
online volunteer recruitment application process that you can
access by clicking
HERE. Successful
applicants are invited to an interview and must pass police vetting
checks.
Alternatively, you can visit our
recruitment website.
What will I get in return?
We understand that your time is
valuable and that there are many reasons for volunteering. In
return we are committed to developing your skills as a Volunteer
within our organisation and ensuring your volunteering experience
is a positive one.
