Local news and updates for Waltham Cross
We are currently running with two police officers and five PCSOs for our neighbourhood. There is always someone on duty daily, ensuring the ward is covered throughout most of the day.

The introduction of the drinking ban in the Holdbrook area has been very successful. The team would like to thank local residents for their help and support

Also in the Holdbrook area three local youths have now been placed with Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBO) which has taken the crime figures down.

Three other youths in the area have also received ASBOs and we are actively gathering evidence for obtaining ASBOs for persistent offenders.

The drinking ban has been extended to WALTHAM CROSS TOWN CENTRE and surrounding roads. We envisage that this ban will make the shopping experience more pleasurable for locals and visitors to the area. The drinking ban has been highly successful. The team have been enforcing this on a regular basis and have we have seen a drop in the number of incidents. Again a thank you to the community for your support.

If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our service please contact us or attend one of the surgeries and/or meetings held in the area.

We have recently placed several local youths on ABAs in an attempt to make Waltham cross a better place to work and live.

The team have been carrying out regular patrols between the bus station, skate park and railway station in response to concerns around thefts from teenagers in the area. During the school summer holidays we drafted in support from other Neighbourhood Officers to deploy around these areas on Friday and Saturday nights to supplement our patrols.

Just a reminded to keep your purses safe whilst your shopping. We plan to do an awareness day very soon....watch this space!
As the evenings get darker your local policing team ask for you to be extra vigilant as in pervious years there has been an increase in burglary. Please ensure you lock your doors and windows when you go out even for the shortest periods. If you have UPVC door take the time to pull the handle up and double lock with the key.
