 Buncefield Oil Depot fire

Police were called to an explosion at Buncefield Oil Depot in Hemel Hempstead which occurred at just after 6am on Sunday December 11.

From the start of the operation police worked closely with Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. Now that the fire is out the constabulary is focusing on the investigation into the cause of the fire. This investigation will be carried out in partnership with Herts Fire and Rescue and the Health and Safety Executive.

A leaflet offering help and advice leaflet for those residents and businesses affected by the fire was produced in conjunction with Dacorum Borough Council. They are also keeping businesses and residents updated on the recovery programme for the area.
