The
Hertfordshire Safety Camera Partnership was launched
in October 2002 following a successful bid to the Department
of Transport (Dft) by Hertfordshire Constabulary, Hertfordshire
County Council and Hertfordshire Magistrates Courts.
The
aim of the partnership is to reduce the number of casualties
on Hertfordshire’s roads by the introduction of
more safety cameras across the county.
In
Hertfordshire the number of safety cameras in use will
be increasing significantly, as part of a national scheme
designed to reduce road deaths and casualties. The camera
are managed by the Hertfordshire Safety Camera Partnership
which operates to the strict criteria and guidelines
issued by the Government.
