Nathan Doust-Briant was appointed Assistant Chief Constable in June 2018. He has responsibility for the Operational Support portfolio including Criminal Justice, Custody, and Public Contact as well as certain collaboration change initiatives and local Athena implementation.
Nathan joined Hertfordshire in 2003, having previously served with Surrey and the Met. A former head of Professional Standards, and Serious and Organised Crime, Nathan has also spent two periods overseas working on police reform in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
