Child Sexual Exploitation in the night time economy
People who work in the Night Time Economy such as taxi drivers, hoteliers, door staff, pub, club and bar employees should be aware of Child Sexual Exploitation and the signs to look out for.
In support of the ‘Say Something If You See Something’ Campaign Hertfordshire Constabulary have produced a short training video aimed at those who work in the Night Time Economy. It explains the definition of Child Sexual Exploitation, the signs to watch out for and how best to report any concerns you may have.
The probability of identifying a child who is at risk goes up for every person who is aware of this issue and what to look out for. We hope that those who view this video will never need to make use of this training but we would want them to recognise the signs if something did occur.
Those who work in the night time economy are absolutely vital in tackling child sexual exploitation. Taxi drivers, hoteliers, door staff, pub, club and bar employees are our eyes and ears. What you see may not be all that significant but together, small bits of information form a bigger picture. That is why Hertfordshire Constabulary want you to report concerns.
Please take the time to view the training video.
