Operation Advisory – our sexual assault reduction campaign

Make sure it is a night to remember for the right reasons.

This video, created by Blue Seat Studios and blogger Rockstar Dinosaur Pirate Princess, carries an important message about consent.

Someone who is incapacitated as a result of drinking alcohol or taking drugs cannot consent to sex. Therefore sex with them is rape – a criminal offence that carries a minimum sentence of five years in prison.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is committed to tackling rape and sexual assault.

Operation Advisory is our campaign to reduce sexual assaults year round, focusing on events including summer music festivals, freshers’ week and the pre-Christmas party season.

  • Report a rape or sexual assault online, or call 101. If a crime is in progress or you believe someone is in immediate danger, always call 999.

Alternatively, Herts SARC is an independent service that offers free advice and access to medical and support services for victims of rape and sexual assault in Hertfordshire. They can also carry out forensic medicals that can provide evidence if the victim choses to report to police at a later date.
