Reporting sexual assault

Herts SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre) provides help and support to men, women and young people living in the Hertfordshire area, who have been raped or sexually assaulted.

Herts SARC services include a comprehensive forensic and aftercare service.

This is delivered by healthcare professionals with a wealth of knowledge and experience in advising and supporting victims.

The team includes specially trained Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs), who will support those who have been assaulted.

Where appropriate, they can liaise with other agencies and support services and guide people through the police process.

You can contact Herts SARC directly using this 24/7 free phone helpline number:
0808 178 4448

If you contact the SARC directly you will be given all necessary advice and support. All available options will be outlined to you, including whether to refer the incident to the police.
