Preventing physical stalking and harassment

If you are worried about being physically stalked, there are a few prevention measures you can put in place.

  • Tighten up security at home, to and from home, and at work. 
  • Change the locks to your home and if you can.
  • Install a burglar alarm.
  • Keep curtains/blinds shut so people cannot see into your property.
  • Consider installing a CCTV system in your home covering up to the boundary of your property.
  • If you do a school run, try to vary the time, means and route if you can.
  • Vary your daily routine if walking or driving to work or other places.
  • Be extra careful when giving out personal details
    • when on the phone
    • dealing with credit card services
    • social networking sites 
    • people you meet.
