Appeal following burglary in Wheathampstead

  • Between 10.30am and 3.55pm on Thursday 8 August, offender(s) gained access to a house in Lower Gustard Wood.

  • An untidy search was conducted in all the rooms and a safe was stolen.

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following a burglary in the area of Lower Gustard Wood, Wheathampstead.

Between 10.30am and 3.55pm on Thursday 8 August, offender(s) gained access to the garden of a house. They then forced open the windows of the house and made their way inside.

An untidy search was conducted in all the rooms and a safe was stolen.

PCSO Joshua Walton-Taylor from the Harpenden and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Did you see what happened? Or did you see suspicious activity in the area at the time of the offence?

“Please get in touch if you witnessed what happened or if you have information that could be useful to our investigation. If you can help, please call 101 or email quoting crime reference 41/71968/19.”
