Did you witness collision in Watford?

  • The incident occurred on a roundabout between Rickmansworth Road and St Albans Road.

  • A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries.

  • Witnesses are being asked to come forward.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Watford this morning (Wednesday 20 May).

The incident occurred in Rickmansworth Road, on the roundabout at the junction with St Albans Road, at around 7.40am.

A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries following a collision with a Ford Focus. He has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition at this time.

Sergeant William Hood, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are being carried out to establish the circumstances around the collision. I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened to please come forward. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of the incident, or events leading up to it.”
