  • The necklace was among several items stolen during a burglary.

  • Officers are asking anyone who may have seen it for sale to please come forward.

  • Enquiries into the burglary are continuing.

Detectives are releasing an image of a distinctive necklace which was stolen during a burglary in Bushey, in an attempt to trace it and return it to its rightful owner.

Between 4pm and 4.20pm on Saturday 8 January, a property in Paynesfield Road was broken into. The offender(s) smashed the glass in a side door and conducted an untidy search inside the address.

Several items of family gold jewellery were stolen, along with a quantity of cash.

Detective Constable Gemma Haines, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit said: “The necklace is quite distinctive and I am hoping that anyone who has seen it, perhaps being offered for sale, will remember doing so. If you have, please contact me.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have any other information about the burglary. Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the area at the time? Any information at all could assist our ongoing enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to please contact DC Haines via email.
