  • We're recruiting police officers now

Did you know we now offer an apprenticeship route to become a police officer?

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re holding two online events explaining how our apprenticeship programme works: at 10am on Wednesday 9 February and Friday 11 February. You will find out everything you need to know about this rewarding career, the application process and training.

As a police officer, every day is different. A policing career delivers both personal satisfaction and the opportunity to make a real and visible difference within your community.

It's a challenging role and you will work a range of shifts, including nights as we cover 365 days a year. You may not always be at home for Christmas or birthdays, but what you will get is the satisfaction of working in a job like no other.

You will be highly trained and well-supported as you help countless people through some of the most difficult situations they have ever faced, supporting victims and witnesses and providing reassurance.

We would love to meet you at our online event. To attend, please register early and the day before the event you will be sent a link to the Teams meeting. Registration closes 24 hours before the sessions are held.
