Man arrested following Hoddesdon protest event

A man has been arrested following a protest event in Hoddesdon town centre.

The 34-year-old man from Hoddesdon was arrested on Monday (22 June) on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence.

The investigation relates to comments made towards members of a Black Lives Matter protest group on Monday 8 June.

The man has been released under investigation while further enquiries are undertaken.
