Man arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle – St Albans

A man has been arrested in connection with the theft of a camera from an insecure Ford Fiesta parked in Stuart Place, St Albans.

The 40-year-old man from St Albans was arrested just before 4am on Saturday (8 February) on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The camera has since been recovered.

St Albans Detective Inspector Alex(andra) Warwick said: “Please keep your belongings out of sight and securely lock your vehicles – opportunist thieves rarely break windows. Together, we can significantly reduce thefts from motor vehicles across the district.”
