Man charged with serious assault, possession of knife and driving dangerously

Edward Stokes has been charged with assault (GBH Section 18), possession of a knife and driving dangerously after he was arrested on Thursday, March 21 in Northern Ireland and brought back to Hertfordshire to face the charges.

Stokes, aged 24 and of Rayleigh Road, Brentwood, was wanted in connection with an incident in Cheshunt on Thursday, February 7 where a man was stabbed and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court today (March 25) where he was charged and later appeared at Hatfield Remand Court where he was remanded to prison awaiting trial.
