Police recover suspected stolen items in Welwyn Garden City

  • A 38 year old man of no fixed abode was arrested in connection with an incident in Woodhall on Tuesday 11 May.

  • A number of suspected stolen items were recovered during the arrest.

A number of suspected stolen items have been recovered during an arrest in Welwyn Garden City.

Police were called at 10.57pm on Tuesday (11 May) to reports of a man allegedly trying car door handles in the Woodhall area.

A 38 year old man of no fixed abode was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation while further enquiries continue.

During the arrest, officers recovered the following items:

  • A Smyths gift card
  • A pair of Apple Airpods
  • A tyre pressure gauge
  • A bottle of Haig Clubman whiskey
  • A quantity of cash

Detective Constable Paul Saunders, from the Welwyn Hatfield Local Crime Unit, said: “We believe that the items may have been stolen and so if you think the items belong to you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
