We are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in Watford.

At around 2.45pm on Tuesday 22 June a garage on Forest Road was broken into and fishing equipment stolen.

It is believed a passer-by may have seen part of the burglary in progress.

PC David Hartlett, who is investigating, said: “If you have information about this incident I would like you to get in touch.

“I’m particularly keen to hear from a female passer-by who may have seen a red Vauxhall Combo van parked by the garages at the time.

“If you are able to help I can be contacted directly via email at david.hartlett@herts.pnn.police.uk

A 42 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, he has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
