Like a new challenge? As a police officer every day is different. It’s a career that delivers both personal satisfaction and the opportunity to make a real and visible difference within your community.

If you’d like to find out more, we’ve got an online session explaining all on Monday 23 May from 7-8.30pm.

You’ll meet serving police officers and find out about our new and exciting apprenticeship or degree holder routes into policing, the application process and the training.

Policing is a 24/7 service, and you’ll work a range of shifts, including nights, as we cover 365 days a year. You may not always be at home for Christmas or birthdays, but what you will get is the satisfaction of working in a job like no other.

You’ll be highly trained and well supported as you help countless people through some of the most difficult situations they have ever faced, supporting victims and witnesses and providing reassurance.

Attend the online session via Microsoft Teams using this link: Click here to join the meeting (opens in new window).

  • Join as an apprentice and earn £24,780, plus a £2.5k regional allowance.
  • Initial training takes 20 weeks. Then there’s on-the-job training.
  • Graduate after three years with a degree and zero student debt.
  • Or join as a graduate and be a police officer within two years.
  • Be prepared for shift work, job satisfaction and no two days ever being the same.
