Meet your local officers at Stanborough Park tomorrow!

Welwyn Hatfield residents are invited to come along and meet their local officers at Stanborough Park tomorrow (Saturday 23 April).
The Safer Neighbourhood Team will be hosting a stall in the North car park (by Splashlands) from 1.30pm until 6pm.
The event will be a chance for residents to speak to officers about any concerns they have. Officers will also be doing free bike-marking so residents are encouraged to bring their bicycles along. When bikes are security marked, they are less attractive to thieves because they are harder to sell on. If the bike is ever lost or stolen, it means it can be easier to track down.
In addition to the stall, officers will be carrying out patrols in the park too. This follows on from concerns about recent anti-social behaviour in the park, including a report of five bins being set on fire on Tuesday 5 April into Wednesday 6 April.
Sergeant Alex Smedley (pictured below) said: “Stanborough Park is always popular, especially as we head into the sunnier months, so we hope that lots of residents pop by and say hello. We’re here to help you so if there’s anything you want to raise, tomorrow will be a fantastic opportunity.
“Don’t forget if you have a bicycle, please do bring it along and we can security mark it for you. It only takes a few seconds and will give you peace of mind.”
