A man was arrested and suspected Class A and B drugs were recovered during a warrant in Bishop’s Stortford this morning (Friday 17 June).
The operation was carried out by officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team, alongside colleagues from Operation Scorpion.
A premises in Northgate End was targeted, following intelligence around drug criminality.
Searches were carried out and suspected Class A and B drugs were seized, along with a quantity of cash.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A knuckle duster and a quantity of cannabis was also seized from another man during the operation and further investigations will be carried out.
East Herts Detective Inspector Chris Ross said: “Drugs are often the catalyst for many other serious crimes which cause fear among local communities.
“Residents rightly ask us to take action against those who are involved and I want to reassure people that their voices are being heard. We’re committed to doing all we can to make East Herts a hostile place for criminals to operate.
