A family fun day is to take place in Bishop’s Stortford, to help bring together people from different communities and backgrounds.
The event, which will take place at Birchwood High School on Sunday 15 May, is being organised by Polish PCSO Edy Szrajber, who works within the local Safer Neighbourhood Team.
There will be attractions for all ages including a variety of stalls, face painting, emergency service vehicles and food and drink. The highlight of the day will be a football match between the police and members of the local Polish community.
PCSO Szrajber said: “Events such as this are a great way to bring people together and also help to break down barriers between the police and their local communities, to help build stronger relationships with the people we serve. The event is open to everyone and I’d love to see as many people as possible there on the day.
“There’s plenty of space for stalls, so if you’d like to get involved with the event, then please do get in touch with me. Further information about the day will be released in due course.”
