Hatfield Garden Village community engagement event
Main article content
Officers will be visiting households in Hatfield Garden Village on Saturday (5 March) as an opportunity for residents to share their views on local crime and policing.
Between 11am and 4pm on Saturday, the Welwyn Hatfield West Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will be knocking on doors in the following streets:
• Broadacres • Holme Road • Holme Close • Manor Road • Manor Close
The community engagement event will be a chance for residents to gain crime prevention advice and sign up to OWL (the Online Watch Link that alerts users to crime trends and local policing news).
The SNT are keen to hear residents’ feedback and gain a deeper understanding of the issues affecting them. Saturday’s event will also give officers the chance to identify vulnerable members of the community and provide extra support.
PC Andrew Dockerill, from the Welwyn Hatfield West SNT, said: “Now that the COVID-19 restrictions have eased, we’re looking forward to more face-to-face events and finding out in person what we can do to help make you feel safer.
“The feedback we receive on Saturday will help to inform our patrol plans and the priorities we should be focusing on. Don’t forget, if we miss you on Saturday, you can use echo, our online community voice platform, to share your views. We’ll also be posting leaflets through doors.
“We’re looking forward to meeting lots of you. If there’s anything you want to let us know about, now is the time!”
