As part of an ongoing investigation into an assault in Stevenage, officers are trying to trace some potential witnesses who they now believe may have been in the area at the time.
On Tuesday 24 October at around 8pm, an incident occurred near to the bus stop at the junction of Hertford Road and Ashdown Road. Two men were involved in an altercation, which resulted in one man receiving a serious injury to his leg.
“We now have information which suggests that there could have been people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident,” explained DC Daniel Judge.
“In particular, we are looking for a couple who are believed to have been walking on the other side of the road at the time of the altercation and another person who was further down the road. If this was you or you were in that area around that time and think you may have seen the incident, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to please email DC Daniel Judge (opens in a new window).
