Residents are invited to attend Hatfield Library’s final beat surgery of the year!
This year, the Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) launched a joint initiative with Hatfield Library to host regular beat surgeries.
Every two months, officers have been hosting an information stall in the library where the public can go along and gain advice or share their views on local police matters.
The beat surgeries provide an informal setting for residents to meet their local officers face to face. Throughout the year the attendees have been supplied with crime prevention advice and even free security devices.
The final beat surgery for 2023 will take place on Friday 22 December 11am-1pm at the library in White Lion Square.
PCSO Mark Randall, from the SNT, said: “We are really pleased with the success of the beat surgeries and we hope as many residents as possible can join us for our final 2023 surgery.
“Is there a crime or an issue that is worrying you locally? Come and tell us and we will do everything we can to help. Or perhaps you are thinking of a career change in the new year?! We’ll be more than happy to tell you about our role!
“The beat surgeries really are a great opportunity to come and speak to police about anything you want. If you are just simply passing by, please pop in and we can give you some crime prevention advice.”
Do you have a doorbell cam or CCTV? If so, we would love you to join CCTV Watch so we can contact you if a crime takes place in your street. Sign up to OWL (Opens in new window) and select ‘CCTV Watch.’
