The family of a man who died following an incident in Hemel Hempstead have paid tribute to him.
Emergency services were called to Thumpers at around 8pm on Wednesday 1 February, to reports that a man was trapped under his vehicle.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Andrew Jellis, aged 49 and from Hemel Hempstead, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
In a statement, they said: “As a family we are beyond devastated and heart broken. Andrew was the most incredible, kind and loving Son, Partner, Dad and Grandad. We loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.”
Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances around the collision and anyone with information is asked to come forward. A 30-year-old man from Hatfield was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
