Shoppers at The Howard Centre on Saturday (25 February) were given the opportunity to meet with the Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Officers hosted a crime prevention stall where shoppers could stop for advice on an array of police matters. There were leaflets to take away as well as free purse bells to help deter pickpockets.
Ensuring there was something for all ages, the officers also gave away free pencils, wristbands and fluffy sticky pom poms to the children who stopped at the stall.
PC Anne Lopez said: “The stall was really productive. Locals were given useful crime prevention advice and many also stopped by to ask us questions or make us aware of issues in their area.
“We had a great time speaking to residents and I would like to thank everybody who took the time to stop and talk to us.”
