We are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred in Radlett today (Monday 31 July).
At around 11.30am, a white Audi A3 was travelling along Theobald Street in the direction of Borehamwood when, for reasons unknown at this time, the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.
The passenger, an 87-year-old woman from Radlett, sadly died at the scene. The driver of the car, a 90-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Detective Constable Felicity Moody, from the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this distressing time. Our specialist officers are providing them with support as we continue to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time who saw what happened or has any information that could assist our enquiries to please get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please check the footage to see if you captured anything that could help us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Moody.
