Police are appealing for the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision in Stevenage to come forward.
The incident occurred at around 8.50am today (Wednesday 12 July), on Bedwell Crescent.
It is reported that a child, who was travelling on a scooter, and a vehicle were in collision.
The child, a five-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, which is described as a light blue SUV, initially remained at the scene but was not there when police arrived.
PC Harry Histed, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to please get in touch.
“We are also working to trace the driver, who we believe may have been travelling in a Nissan Juke-style vehicle, and urge them to come forward.
“The area was also busy around this time and there may be several key witnesses. Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted and were driving in the area, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial information that could assist our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to email PC Histed.
