Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an aggravated burglary in Hoddesdon.
The incident occurred between 12.05am and 12.19am on Friday 30 June at an address on Glenester Close.
It is reported that around six men entered the property from the back garden by smashing the patio door window using a fire extinguisher.
Both victims were home at the time of the burglary, one of the offenders threatened one the victims before committing a common assault by pointing a bladed article at the victim.
The offenders then left the property in an unknown vehicle.
Two sets of car keys, a set of house keys, two iPhones were taken from the property.
Detective Constable Alex Fairley who is investigating said: “We are currently at the early stages of an investigation into reports of an aggravated burglary at an address on Glenester Close.
“I am encouraging anyone who lives in the area to check CCTV cameras, as it may contain vital evidence to support with our ongoing enquiries.
“Additionally, if anyone sees any iPhones for sale online under suspicious circumstances, please report this to police.”
