Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an alleged assault which occurred in Watford.
The incident is reported to have taken place on Friday 7 July at around 2.30pm on a grass area next to Church Street.
After a confrontation between two people, a man reportedly hit the victim with a glass bottle causing the victim to sustain an injury.
A 47-year-old man from Bushey was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH) and possession of cannabis and has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
PC Lewis Stanley, who is investigating, said: “This incident was a terrible ordeal for the victim who has sustained injuries.
“Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.”
