Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson in Stevenage.
At around 3.20pm on Tuesday 27 June, it is reported that a toilet roll holder was set on fire inside the Westgate Shopping Centre toilets.
The fire left smoke damage on the toilet door and ceiling.
PC Lukas Haase, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.
“Were you in the men’s toilets at this time and saw what happened, or do you have any further information that may assist our investigation?”
Anyone with information is asked to please email PC Haase.
You can also report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/51700/23. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form (opens in new window).
