Local police joined the crowds attending the popular Welwyn Garden City World Food Festival this weekend.
The food festival saw thousands of residents flock to the town centre on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May.
Officers from the Welwyn Hatfield North Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) took the opportunity to share crime prevention advice with local residents and discuss any crime and anti-social behaviour issues affecting them.
PC Cameron Abraham and PCSO Emma Carson hosted a successful community engagement stall across both days of the festival.
Sergeant Deane Brittain, of the North SNT, said: “We received a lot of support from those who attended which was great. Residents asked lots of questions and the children were particularly excited to see the car!
“It was a really busy event so it presented a great opportunity to go along and host a stall. My team gave out lots of crime prevention advice and there were leaflets and security devices to take away. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hello.
“As your Safer Neighbourhood Team, we are responsible for engaging with the community and we are always happy to attend any local community events. If you have one coming up, let us know via email (opens in a new window) and pending operational requirements, we will try and come along!”
