Operation Advent: Opening the door on policing in East Herts
Main article content
In the run up to Christmas, officers across East Herts will once again be carrying out 24 days of action, to target criminals and help keep people safe.
Operation Advent returns on Friday (1 December) and aims to ‘open the door’ on the many varied policing activities that officers get involved with all year round.
It will see all four of the district’s Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) conduct activities, such as:
Various operations to target criminals
Reassurance patrols at community events
Proactive patrols and operations to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls
Speed checks, at locations requested by members of the public
Crime prevention stalls
East Herts SNT Inspector Mark Collins said: ““Operation Advent is now in its third year and is held to help showcase the work that our dedicated local policing teams undertake all year round to help keep East Herts safe.
“If there’s a particular area you think we should be focusing our efforts on, then please don’t hesitate to let us know. Feedback and intelligence from members of the public is vitally important and we’re committed to working with local residents, to solve any issues for the long term.”
