Two men have been charged following a traffic operation in Hatfield.
A night time operation carried out in Comet Way on Friday 3 November saw officers stop 19 vehicles and issue numerous traffic offence reports.
A 25 year old man from North Mymms has since been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
A further vehicle was also stopped following a short pursuit after making off from police.
A 25 year old man from Hatfield has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving without insurance, failing to stop at a road collision, resisting or obstructing a constable and criminal damage.
Sergeant James Wingate, from the Welwyn Hatfield Intervention Team, said: “We teamed up with officers from the Hertsmere Intervention Team to carry out an operation proactively targeting drivers and aiming to keep our local roads safe.
“I hope that residents are pleased to hear of this news. We intend to carry out more operations in the near future, especially in the run-up to Christmas when we often see people tempted to drink drive after celebrating.”
