Officers are appealing for information and witnesses after a person was shot with a BB gun in St Albans.
Between midday and 12.10pm on Saturday 9 September, the occupant(s) of a red Ford Fiesta or Focus fired BB pellets towards a person in Campfield Road.
The pellets caused irritation to the the victim's face.
PC Jade Mole, who is investigating, said: “This was really nasty behaviour, and we are treating the incident as assault.
“As part of our investigation, I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in contact.
“Did you see what happened? Or do you have information about the offender(s)?
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw the car, believed to be a 65 plate. If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam please check it and get in touch if you spot something that could help.
