Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man following a racially aggravated public order incident in Stevenage.
A woman was jogging in St Nicholas Park at 1.50pm on Thursday 14 September when a light brown dog scared her. The owner called the dog back. The dog looked like it was going to approach her again and she filmed the dog on her phone.
A man was racially abusive towards her. He is described as white, aged in his 50s, of stocky build, about 5 ft 9 with balding short grey hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue shirt and jeans.
PC Amy Hunter, who is investigating, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the image as he is believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident and could be able to assist with enquiries.
