Man charged after cocaine worth £8k is seized during warrant - Three Rivers

A man has been charged after cocaine worth £8,000 was seized during a drugs warrant carried out in Three Rivers.

Broxton Williams, aged 32, of Berry Lane in Rickmansworth, has been charged with possession of a class A drug (cocaine) with intent to supply, possession of a class A drug (MDMA) and possession of criminal property (cash).

Following his arrest, he was remanded in custody and appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Friday (6 October) where he pleaded not guilty to all but one of the charges – possession of MDMA.

Williams was released on strict conditional bail and is next scheduled to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday 7 November.

The charges come after officers from the Operational Support Group (OSG), supported by colleagues from the Three Rivers Operation Scorpion team, led a drugs warrant which was executed at a property in Berry Lane, Rickmansworth, at 6:45am on Thursday (5 October) under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

They searched the property and found what has since been confirmed as cocaine, along with smaller amounts of MDMA crystal, hundreds of pounds in cash, multiple phones, and weighing scales.

In addition, officers entered an address in New Road, Croxley Green, on the same day and after searching it under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, they recovered class A drugs (cocaine) and multiple mobile phones.

A 30 year old man from Croxley Green was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with the intent to supply in connection with the search. He has been released on strict conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Dave Perkins, from Watford’s OSG, said: “This latest operation is part of our ongoing efforts to target and disrupt those involved in supplying Class A drugs in Watford. The violence and exploitation often associated with county lines networks causes untold harm to our communities and often targets the vulnerable.

“For that reason, we will not rest in our mission to seek out those who choose to supply and sell illegal drugs in our town.
