The Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have announced new priorities to focus on.
The SNT are tasked with fixing short- and long-term neighbourhood issues such as anti-social behaviour (ASB). The officers work closely with local partners including the council and schools to achieve this.
The team regularly sets out priorities to focus on and these are reviewed throughout the year. Residents were recently asked to get in touch using the constabulary’s community voice platform to share their thoughts on what the new ones should be.
The new priorities have now been chosen:
Welwyn Hatfield North (Welwyn West, Welwyn East, Haldens, Sherrards, Handside, Peartree and Panshanger)
Welwyn Hatfield West (Hatfield Villages, Hatfield Central, Hatfield South West and the University of Hertfordshire)
Welwyn Hatfield South (Hollybush, Cuffley, Howlands, Northaw, Hatfield East, Hatfield South)
SNT Inspector Amy Sheldon said: “I would like to thank everybody who took the time who share their views on echo and I hope that you feel reassured by the new priorities.
“Of course, we will still be tackling other issues but we will be paying close to attention to these ones.
“Don’t forget you can keep up to date with our work on Facebook and Twitter. You can follow us at Welwyn Hatfield Police on Facebook and @WelHatPolice on Twitter.”
You can use our community voice platform ‘echo’ to let us know what you think we should be prioritising in your area. Your feedback will help towards shaping our local policing priorities, initiatives and campaigns. Visit the following and tell us your thoughts.
