Teenager arrested in connection with a stabbing in St Albans

Officers investigating a stabbing in St Albans, have arrested a teenager in connection with the incident.
Police were called on Monday 9 October at around 3.41pm to a report of a disturbance involving a group of people outside the shops on Hatfield Road, St Albans.
Local officers were assisted by armed response colleagues, with support from the National Police Air Service and the ambulance service.
A 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were taken to hospital by paramedics with serious suspected stab wounds, not deemed to be life threatening.
Today, a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and assault. He is currently in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Paul Wadsworth from St Albans Local Crime Unit said: “The investigation is still continuing and we would urge anyone with any information, who has not already spoken to us, to get in touch.”
