Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a collision A10 near Thundridge, which sadly proved fatal.
At around 7am on Friday 22 September, both police and the ambulance service were called to a report of a road traffic collision on the A10, involving one vehicle - a Fiat Scudo - which was travelling north on the A10 towards the A120.
Sergeant Rebecca Cornell, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “I would firstly like to thank members of the public who stopped to try and help one of the passengers. Despite everyone’s efforts, including the officers who were first on scene and ambulance service colleagues, a passenger sadly died as a result of their injuries.
“We are investigating the circumstance of the collision and I am appealing for anyone who was driving on the A10 around the time specified who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, or anyone with dash cam who may have captured the incident.”
The driver of the vehicle, a 35 year old man, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
