Police have carried out another speeding operation in Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City to keep the roads safe from speeding drivers.
On Friday 25 August, officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team took to Codicote Road in Welwyn, and Herns Lane and Moors Walk in Welwyn Garden City.
The operation was scheduled in response to complaints about speeding raised by local people via the constabulary’s community voice platform, echo.
PCs Darren Turner, Andrew Dockerill and Saajan Shah attended with PCSO Anne Devine.
PC Darren Turner said: “We are happy to report no tickets were issued, however, words of advice were given to a number of drivers.
“I would like to thank residents for raising their concerns on echo and I urge you to carry on doing so.
“I would also like to remind residents that the speed limit along Codicote Road is 40mph whilst Herns Lane and Moors Walk is 30mph. Speeding can carry devastating consequences and we are grateful for all those who do abide by the speed limits.”
