Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Borehamwood.
The incident occurred between 7.30pm and 8pm yesterday (Wednesday 27 September), on Gateshead Road.
It is reported that three teenage boys left Aberford Park when they were approached by three unknown males.
Two of the teenage boys reportedly received stab wounds, while the third also sustained injuries, and were taken to hospital by ambulance colleagues. The injuries are not described as being life threatening or life changing.
Detective Sergeant Daniel Webb, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are continuing to appeal for information.
“I appreciate this may cause some concern among the local community, and my team is doing all it can to establish the full circumstances around this assault.
“We are increasing patrols in the area as a result, and would encourage anyone with information to please contact police as we work to trace the suspects.
“Anyone with information, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, is asked to please get in touch.”
Cllr Christian Gray, Portfolio Holder for Communities, Neighbourhoods, Enforcement, Economic Development and Transformation at Hertsmere Borough Council, said: “We have been speaking with local residents about this incident and know that people are feeling anxious. We work with our police colleagues and other partners in the Community Safety Partnership to tackle anti-social behaviour and criminality within the borough and support our communities in creating a safe Hertsmere. I’d urge anyone with information about this incident to contact the police or Crimestoppers.”
