A man has been arrested and a number of e-scooters have been seized after officers responded to reports of anti-social behaviour in Hatfield on Tuesday (16 April).
Officers from the Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) attended Oak Tree Close following reports from residents about anti-social behaviour (ASB) and cannabis use in an abandoned garage.
Seven young people were found at the scene and one of them – a 20 year old man from Borehamwood – was arrested on suspicion of the following offences:
In addition, officers seized two e-scooters that were found in the garage.
PC Jack Andrews, from the Welwyn Hatfield NPT, said: “I hope this reassures residents that we are listening to your concerns and taking action. The arrested man has received a caution for the offences and a second man who we found at the scene has been interviewed in relation to cannabis possession. We have also contacted the housing association who own the garage to make sure it is secured.
“Hopefully this action will disrupt the ASB that has been causing a nuisance to local residents.
