The Welwyn Hatfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team hosted a successful community event at Stanborough Park on Sunday (14 April).
The sun was shining as the whole team hosted a crime prevention stall between 11am and 3pm.
Residents were able to pick up useful crime prevention advice and sign up to the county’s exciting new messaging platform, Herts Connected.
The event was also an opportunity for residents to share their views on the next set of policing priorities which will be announced in May.
The team brought along their bike-marking equipment and many took up the offer to get their bicycles security marked for free. The officers’ police vehicle was also popular with the young children who attended!
PC Anne Lopez said: “We know the park gets busy when there’s nice weather so we took the opportunity to go along and give as many residents as possible the chance to speak with us. We received lots of positive feedback from those who came along.
“It was a great day and there was lots on offer for residents - from bike marking to finding out about HertsConnected. As we’re in the process of deciding the new local police priorities, it was useful to get feedback on what residents think we should be focusing on. We’re taking submissions online until the end of the month so there’s still time to have your say (opens in a new window).
“We would like to thank everybody who came along. We had a great time meeting you.”
Join our new community messaging platform Herts Connected (opens in a new window) where you will receive free local police messages. You can also choose to receive messages from Neighbourhood Watch, Action Fraud and the Police and Crime Commissioner if that’s what you select when you sign up.
