A woman has been charged with murder following an incident in Hemel Hempstead.
Police were called to an address in the area at 4.40pm on Sunday (14 April) to assist with a medical emergency, alongside the ambulance service.
Officers from the Armed Policing Unit were also dispatched to the scene to provide specialist first aid equipment which they carry in their vehicles.
A two year old was taken to hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately died a short time later.
Shilyrand Charigwati, aged 29, of Juniper Square in Hemel Hempstead, has been charged with murder. She appeared at Hatfield Remand Court today (Tuesday 16 April) and was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at St Albans Crown Court on Thursday (18 April).
