Witness appeal after incident in Bishop’s Stortford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in Bishop’s Stortford last month.

At around 5pm on Wednesday 24 July, a vehicle and a plain clothes police officer were involved in a collision on Archer Place while arrest enquiries were being carried out.

A short time later, a man in his thirties from the town was arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on police bail while enquires continue.

Detective Constable Michael Parker, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully the officer was not injured, and I am now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened, or have any further information that may assist our investigation? I can be emailed directly.”
